It is time to get serious about your shopping if you haven't already. Remember your pets and your outside visitors when you shop.
Keep in mind the outside birds are looking for some much needed nutrition at this time of the year. Once you begin your feeding regiment, don't quit! They will come to depend on you as a ready source of food. Rendering the fat from your untrimmed beef roasts will make a great treat for them. If that is too much trouble, buy the suet cakes from the store. These tasty treats are for everyday, but your gift can be bought in bulk to have on hand for the winter.
If you live near some wooded area, remember to feed the deer. This is a hard time of the year for them. The difficulty of finding food often results in the death of many animals.
Your indoor companions would love to have a special new toy (read the label for safety tips and point of origin) to occupy them when the snow is falling. Spending time with your cat, who otherwise will sleep through the winter, is healthy for him and great for you...it lifts your spirits when you are bonding with your pet.
This is a hurried time of the year; however remembering to pamper the animals in your life is a gift to them that is priceless. Shop, pamper your loved ones inside and out, and have a blessed season!
